My World คือนิทรรศการภาพถ่ายที่คัดเลือกจากผลงานในช่วงปี 2006-2013 ของศิลปินช่างภาพหญิง จิตติมา เสงี่ยมสุนทร นิทรรศการครั้งนี้เป็นการแสดงเดี่ยวครั้งที่สองของจิตติมา หลังจากทำหน้าที่ถ่ายทอดความรู้ให้กับศิษย์และสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชุดใหม่อยู่หลายปี หากกล่าวถึงเรื่องราวของภาพถ่ายหุ่นนิ่ง (still life) และภาพทิวทัศน์ (landscape) ชื่อของจิตติมาจะเป็นชื่อแรกๆ ที่ได้รับการพูดถึงเพราะผลงานของเธอสามารถพาผู้ชมไปสัมผัสได้ถึงวันเวลาสำคัญ เมื่อโลกแห่งการบันทึกด้วยกล้องถ่ายภาพได้ก้าวเข้าสู่โลกของทัศนศิลป์ แนวคิดและสุนทรียะของภาพถ่ายที่ผสานเป็นเนื้อเดียวกับงานศิลปะชั้นสูง อันเป็นต้นกำเนิดการถ่ายภาพในแนวทาง Pictorialism ในปลายศตวรรษที่ 19 และพัฒนามาเป็นศิลปะภาพถ่ายหลากแนวคิดในปัจจุบัน

กว่า 20 ปีบนเส้นทางของการทำงานศิลปะภาพถ่าย ไวยากรณ์ทางศิลปะที่โลกทั้งใบถูกสร้างขึ้นจากจากแสงและเงา องค์ความรู้ที่กำเนิดจากวิทยาศาสตร์และเคมี ผลงานของจิตติมาได้เข้ามาแสดงให้เห็นรอยต่อของยุคสมัย เมื่อระบบดิจิตอล โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ และเทคโนโลยีการพิมพ์ขั้นสูงเข้ามาทดแทนฟิล์มและงานฝีมือในห้องมืด ทว่าสิ่งที่ไม่เคยเปลี่ยนไปจากผลงานของจิตติมาคือความละเอียดอ่อนของมืออาชีพที่พัฒนาไปตามยุคสมัย ซึ่งยังทำให้ศิลปะภาพถ่ายยังทรงเสน่ห์ และเต็มไปด้วยมนต์ขลัง

My World is a photography exhibition of selected works by female photographer Jittima Sa-ngeamsunthron from 2006 to 2013. It is her second solo exhibition after years of teaching and creating new works. In the field of still life and landscape photography, her name is among one of the first being mentioned since her works bring the audience back to the pivotalperiod when image recording through camera stepped into the world of visual art. During the time, photographic concepts and aesthetics were integrated into high art, leading to the invention of Pictorialism in the late 19th century and developing into various genres of photography today.

For over 20 years Jittima Sa-ngeamsunthron has worked along the path of photography, where the whole world is created from light and shadow with the help of knowledge from science and chemistry. Her works present the period of transformation, as digital system, computer programs, and advanced printing technology replaced the use of films and the craft of the darkroom. However, one of the things that never change in her works is professional delicacy and attention to details, which have developed through time and helped maintain appeal and magic in the art of photography.
