“Sutrarasa” classical dance at Alliance Francaise

Alliance Francaise de Bangkok and Sutra Dance Theatre proudly presents the classical Indian dance “Sutrarasa” (Odissi) performed by dance guru Ramli Ibrahim and January Low to be held on 3rd and 5th November at 19:30 hrs. 

Sutrarasa was premiered last year at the ICCR International Dance Festival in New Delhi. The production, conceptualized by Ramli Ibrahim, takes the audience through the evolution of Sutra Dance Theatre’s Odissi repertoire with works commissioned by the Late Guru Deba Prasad Das and Guru Gajendra Kumar Panda. 

Sutrarasa comes to Bangkok, after a successful tour of Hague, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Utrecht in October 2011.

The performance will be staged at the auditorium of Alliance Francaise. Tickets are THB 250 for students and members and THB 400 for public. The tickets can be purchased from Alliance Francaise’s library (closed on Monday).
