สวนเต็มซอย: เมื่อชาวย่านกะดีจีนฝันถึงสีเขียวๆตามตรอก-ซอก-ซอยเล็กๆของชุมชน [Sois of Trees : When Kadeejeens dream of a green neighborhood]

ย่านกะดีจีน เป็นย่านประวัติศาสตร์ที่มีความเก่าแก่ที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของกรุงเทพมหานคร ประกอบด้วยชุมชนเล็กๆ 6 ชุมชน ได้แก่ ชุมชนวัดกัลยาณ์ ชุมชนกุฎีจีน ชุมชนวัดประยุรวงศ์ ชุมชนบุปผาราม ชุมชนกุฎีขาว และชุมชนโรงคราม ซึ่งคงความหลากหลายทางมรดกวัฒนธรรมของ 3 ศาสนา 4 ความเชื่อ (พุทธเถรวาท พุทธมหายาน คริสต์ และมุสลิม) ที่อยู่ร่วมกันมาอย่างสันติสุขตั้งแต่สมัยกรุงธนบุรีจวบจนปัจจุบัน นอกเหนือจากมรดกวัฒนธรรมทางศาสนาแล้ว โครงข่ายของตรอก ซอก ซอยเล็กๆยังคงเป็นเอกลักษณ์สำคัญของย่าน ที่ยังคงมีชีวิตชีวาและบอกเล่าเรื่องราวความทรงจำของชุมชน

ภาควิชาภูมิสถาปัตยกรรม และ ภาควิชาการวางแผนภาคและเมือง คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ จุฬาฯ ร่วมกับย่านกะดีจีน สมาคมสถาปนิกสยามในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ และกลุ่มบิ๊กทรี (Bangkok Big Trees) ขอเชิญทุกท่านที่มีหัวใจรักต้นไม้ มาร่วมกับนิสิตจิตอาสาและชาวชุมชน แต่งแต้มบรรยากาศของย่านให้สดใสด้วยสีเขียวของสวนรูปแบบต่างๆ ที่สร้างสรรค์ให้เหมาะสมกับพื้นที่สาธารณะขนาดเล็กของย่านกะดีจีน ในโอกาสวันปลูกต้นไม้แห่งชาติปี 2554

อนึ่ง สวนในซอยเหล่านี้ จะได้รับการดูแลโดยชุมชนเพื่อผลิดอกออกผลเป็นงานศิลปะที่ร่วมจัดแสดงในงาน “กะดีจีน-ศิลป์ในซอย ครั้งที่ 3” ในช่วงเทศกาลลอยกระทงปลายปีนี้

Comment by NEWS PORTFOLIOS*NET on August 7, 2011 at 11:29am: One of Bangkok’s oldest historic districts, Kadeejeen Neighborhood is comprised of 6 communities: Wat Kalaya, Kudeejeen, Wat Prayurawong, Wat Bupparaam, Kudee Khao, and Roang Kraam. Ever since the Thonburi era (17C), these historic neighborhoods have maintained the diverse cultural heritage of 3 religions and 4 beliefs (Theravada Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, Christianity and Muslim) while coexisting in peaceful harmony. The neighborhood is still characterized by Bangkok’s traditional urbanism which is that of a fine-grained, religious establishment-centered urban structure with close-knit social cohesion. Moreover, old morphological structures passageways through the neighborhood, such as Troks (lit. small pedestrian alleys) and Klongs (lit.canal), remain intact.

Dept.of Landscape Architecture and Dept.of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University together with the Association of Siamese Architects Under the Royal Patronage, the Big Tree Group and Kadeejeen Neighborhood invite you to join our students and the residents in tree-planting in their small spaces all over the neighborhood.

All plants will be maintained by the residents and displayed as the art-pieces in “the 3rd Kadeejeen-Arts-In-Sois” in Loy Kratong festival (November 2011)
