The Reading Room and Filmvirus present 'Death of the Authors!', a screening program inspired by intimate liaison between literature and film. 'A Page of Madness' and 'Orlando' are film adaptation from famous novels by Yasunari Kawabata and Virginia Woolf; while 'The Chinese Botanist's Daughters' and 'Successive Slidings of Pleasure' sees the authors, Sijie Dai and Alain Robbe-Grillet directed films based on their own texts.



The Reading Room ร่วมกับ Filmvirus เสนอโปรแกรมภาพยนตร์ ‘ประพันธกรต้องตาย!’ โดย เป็นการกล่าวถึงความสัมพันธ์อันลึกซึ้งระหว่างภาพยนตร์กับวรรณกรรมด้วยรัก และชัง การสู้รบปรบมือ ปรับแปลงพันธุกรรมระหว่างภาพเคลื่อนไหวและตัวหนังสือ ทั้งที่ผู้ประพันธ์ลงมากำกับเองหรือถูกผู้อื่นนำไปตีความใหม่แบบไม่เหลือ เค้าแน่นอนว่าประพันธกรต้องตายก่อน แต่ผู้อ่านและผู้ชมจะตายช้ากว่าหรือไม่มีแต่ตัวบทแบบไหนที่จะดำรงคงอยู่ท่าม กลางสมรภูมิที่ไม่มีใครยอมใครนี้
