Alliance Francaise de Bangkok is proud to present the wonderful educational photo exhibition “Energy, what are the choices for tomorrow?” by French photographer and film director Yann Arthus-Bertrand to be displayed from April 10 until May 13 (closed on Monday) at Alliance francaise’s media library. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
The “Energy, what are the choices for tomorrow?” exhibition presents various energy sources ranging from fossil fuel to nuclear energy, highlighting the economic, technical and ecological challenges of the various renewable energy choices. Now designed to reach an audience beyond its initial school-student target, this exhibition will mark Earth Day.
Organized by the GoodPlanet Foundation whose president Yann Arthus-Bertrand has served as goodwill ambassador of the UN Environment Programme, the “Sustainable development, why?” project includes five exhibitions: “Sustainable Development” in 2006, “Biodiversity” in 2007, “Energy” in 2008, “Water” in 2009 and “The forest, a living community” in 2010. These 5 themes are the challenges that people now face and which will be crucial for future generations. The goal of the foundation’s project was at first to provide schools and high schools with a set of about 20 thematic posters, each one consisting of a photo with educational information.
