Brush-sri  ใช่แล้ว พวกคุณไม่ได้อ่านผิด มันคือคำว่า ‘บัดสี’ จริงๆนั่นแหละ น้อยคนนักที่จะรู้ว่าบัดสีคืออาการเหนียมอาย และไม่กล้าแสดงออก ในฐานะคนทำงานศิลปะ หรือที่เรียกว่า ‘ศิลปิน’ อย่างเราๆ ก็ไม่ได้รู้ความหมายของคำนี้ อย่างลึกซึ้งนักหรอก แต่เมื่อได้ยิน ก็พาลให้นึกถึง ‘แปรง’ และ ‘สี’ ขึ้นมาเสียเฉยๆ จึงนำมาสู่นิทรรศการ ‘บรัชศรี’ (Brush-Sri) การรวมตัวระหว่างแปรง และสี แปรง เป็นอุปกรณ์ชิ้นหนึ่งที่ขาดไม่ได้ในการทำงานศิลปะ ไม่ว่าจะงานนั้นจะเป็นศิลปะแขนงใด มันจึงถูกเลือกให้เป็นตัวแทนที่แสดงถึงทั้งความเหมือน และความแตกต่างของกลุ่มศิลปิน 4 คน ที่มีพื้นฐานความถนัด แนวคิด และผลงานที่แตกต่างกันโดยสิ้นเชิง

แล้วมันเกี่ยวอะไรกับความ ‘เหนียมอาย’ ?เราทั้ง 4 คนเชื่อว่า ศิลปะคือการแสดงตัวตน การแสดงออกของความรู้สึกนึกคิดบางอย่างที่เรามัก ‘เหนียมอาย’ มันไว้ พลังของมันยิ่งใหญ่นัก และมีความงดงามในตัวของมันเอง ‘สี’ ที่พวกเราใช้ถ่ายทอด จึงเปรียบเสมือน ‘ศรี’ ที่สื่อถึงความงดงามที่คุณจะได้พบจากการมองตัวตนของเรา ผ่านงานศิลปะที่เรียงรายอยู่เหล่านั้น
