Opening party of "The Salween Guardians" photo exhibition //
Since the end of the second world war two, the burmese army (Tadmadaw) is waging a merciless war against the ethnic hill tribes for the control of their territories and their raw materials. Faced with this “jacobin” policy, these peoples ( Karenni, Karen, Kachin, Shan …) raise guerrilla armies and fight for the conservation of their lands and their identities.
The Salween river is running through both the Karen and the Karenni states.
The exhibition will run from march 6 to may 5
