what is “beauty” ?
This has been a controversial issue since Greek time as the Greek philosopher Aristotle has mentioned about beauty and depression that both are human’s sense of perception. Is the worth of beauty exist by itself? or it just a word to describe the thing that we were pleased or satisfied with?
The exhibition “ The Hidden Beauty” represent the contemporary arts which express the artist’s feeling and interested by using the painting of a young woman's face to represent the beliefs that beautiful woman must have a well-shaped face, huge eyes, and tiny lips but in contrast, the other parts of their body are malfunction. The artist’s purpose is to convince people to think which their thoughts will be different depends on their condition and experience.
Sisalay Sisaveuy is the new blood Laotian artist studied Thai and French arts (2003 - 2006) and keep doing his artwork continuously until his single work series “ The Hidden Beauty”
