แฮร์ลินเดอ เคิร์ลเบลเกิดที่เมืองมิวนิค ประเทศเยอรมนี เธอเป็นหนึ่งในช่างภาพสายการเมืองที่ได้ชื่อว่าทรงอิทธิพลที่สุดในเยอรมนี ผลงานของเธอมีเอกลักษณ์ในการนำเสนอภาพที่ชวนให้คิดวิเคราะห์เกี่ยวกับประเด็นทางการเมืองและสังคม

จากที่เดินทางไปทั่วโลกเพื่อบันทึกภาพเป้ายิงที่ใช้ในการฝึกทางทหาร ชุดภาพถ่ายในนิทรรศการนี้ได้รวบรวมภาพถ่ายเป้ายิงจาก 30 ประเทศ สำหรับเคิร์ลเบลแล้ว เมื่อถึงคราวสงคราม ทหารมักมองตัวเองว่าเป็นฝ่ายที่ถูกต้องเสมอ แต่ในความเป็นจริงแล้วในสนามรบ ใครกันแน่ที่ถูกเป็น ‘เป้ายิง’?

Born in Munich, Herlinde Koelbl is one of Germany’s most influential documentary photographers. Her works are characterized by thought-provoking confrontation with political and social issues.

Having spent years of traveling around the world, taking photos of military training targets, the collection in TARGETS unveils photographs of military training targets in thirty different countries. For Koelbl, when it comes to war, soldiers consider themselves as being on the right side. But who is, in fact, the targeted enemy in combat?

Let’s explore her unique ideas in TARGETS exhibition at Goethe-Institut Thailand. The event starts from 31.07.18 until 08.09.18. Feel free to pop by.
