นิทรรศการจะจัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 21 เมษายน - 18 พฤษภาคม 2557

นิทรรศการ PLAY นำเสนอผลงานจิตรกรรมสีน้ำมันบนผ้าใบโดยมีต้นแบบจากหน้าปกนิตยสาร PLAYBOY ซึ่งมีชื่อเสียงโด่งเด่นเรื่องจุดยืนของบรรณาธิการที่เป็นอิสระ (Liberal editorial stance) ในยุคต้นทศวรรษ 1960 ภายในนิทรรศการนอกจากจะมีการแสดงผลงานจิตรกรรมของธวัชชัย สมคง แล้ว ยังเปิดพื้นที่ให้ศิลปินรับเชิญ ร่วมสร้างสรรค์ผลงานผ่านมุมมองที่มีต่อธวัชชัย ในฐานะบรรณาธิการนิตยสาร PLAY มีการรวบรวมภาพกิจกรรม รวมถึงบทความจากนักเขียนรับเชิญเพื่อสร้างเป็นนิตยสารจำลอง ซึ่งนับเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกิจกรรมเชิงปฏิสัมพันธ์แบบทดลองทางศิลปะด้วย

The exhibition will be on view since April 21 – May 18, 2014

The art exhibition “PLAY” by Tawatchai Somkong presents oil paintings inspired by the cover of PLAYBOY magazine, which is famous for its liberal editorial stance in the early 60’s. Viewers will find, besides Tawatchai’s artworks, the creations of several guest artists and their views toward the artist as the editor of the PLAY magazine. Moreover, the photos of activities and articles from guest writers will be collected together to form a replica of a magazine which is part of the interactive art of the exhibition.
