"ภิรักษ์ อนุรักษ์เยาวชน ใช้ชีวิตในฐานะนักถ่ายภาพงานสถาปัตยกรรมมายาวนานตั้งแต่ปีค.ศ. 1997 จนถึงปัจจุบัน การได้เห็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเมืองและของโลก รวมถึงการเดินทางผ่านเหตุการณ์สําคัญต่างๆ โดยมีกล้องถ่ายภาพเป็น เสมือนอวัยวะที่บันทึกมุมมองแห่งการพิจารณาโลก และภาพถ่ายคือหลักฐานทางประวัติศาสตร์ชีวิตส่วนบุคคล บนความร่วมสมัยต่างๆที่ยังคงเกิดขึ้นแบบเร่งรีบทุกเมื่อเชื่อวัน
ในนิทรรศการ Parallel ภิรักษ์ย้อนกลับไปทบทวนช่วงเวลาต่างๆในชีวิตการทํางานที่ผ่านมา ผ่านภาพถ่ายที่ได้บันทึกไว้ และเดินทางกลับไปในช่วงเวลานั้นอีกครั้ง เพื่อเปรียบเทียบกับภาพปัจจุบันซึ่งสะท้อนให้เห็นสิ่งต่างๆที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามรายทางและกาลเวลาอันเป็นผลมาจากความผันผวนด้านเศรษฐกิจ ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม ปัญหาทางการเมือง พัฒนาการทางสังคมที่ก่อให้เกิดความเหลื่อมล้ำ รวมถึงนัยยะที่ภาพถ่ายทําหน้าที่ตั้งคําถามว่ามนุษย์กําลังเดินทางไปสู่ความศิวิไลซ์ หรือความล่มสลาย
ผลงานภาพถ่ายใน Parallel เปิดพื้นที่ให้เราได้เห็นถึงความเป็นโลกคู่ขนาน โลกในอุดมคติ และความหวังของมนุษย์ที่มีต่อเมือง ผ่านอิริยาบถทางความคิดที่เปิดกว้าง และตั้งคําถามต่อผู้ชมว่าเรากําลังมีชีวิตอยู่บนหมุดหมายที่หายไป หรือกําลังหลงอยู่ในพื้นที่ส่วนใดในกาลปัจจุบัน

Pirak Anurakyawachon is an architectural photographer since 1997 until now. He has flashed out the changes of cities and the world through his cameras lenses as if they were one of his organ to keep all of the world’s stories. Of course, the photography is a good historical evidence to show the contemporary rush everyday lifestyle. In Parallel exhibition, Pirak looked back to the past of his work and all photos he took, and then he went back to those places again. He compared his photos with this present time. They reflexed many changes through the places and times from the uncertain economic, environmental problems, political issues, and even the unfair societies. The photos also included the questions to the human that we are going to the civilization or the collapse.
The photos from Parallel has opened our minds to the parallel ideally world and hopes of human for the cities by opening ideas and giving questions of living on a vanish goal or lost in this certain time.
