นิทรรศการ NEO BARBARIAN I เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนศิลปินระหว่างไทยและอินโดนีเซีย โดยมีศิลปินชาวอินโดนีเซีย ได้แก่ Antonius Kho, Putu Edy Asmara, Laksmi Shitaresmi, Grace Tjondronimpuno, S.Sn และ Ketut Lekung Sugantika โดยมีแนวความคิด ทัศนคติ และความคิดเห็นในการนำเสนอผลงานศิลปะที่แตกต่างกันออกไป ทั้งในแง่ของการมุ่งเน้นการสะท้อนเรื่องราวความป่าเถื่อนของมนุษยชาติในรูปแบบอันแปลกใหม่ การมอมเมาอย่างแยบยลที่มีผลกระทบต่อวิถีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของผู้คน รวมถึงประเด็นเกี่ยวกับความหลากหลายของเชื้อชาติ เพศสภาพ และบริบทของความเชื่อเรื่องการบริโภคนิยม ท่ามกลางความเปลี่ยนแปลงของสังคม เศรษฐกิจ การเมือง และวัฒนธรรมแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21

“NEO BARBARIAN I” is the exhibition by Indonesian artists: Antonius Kho, Putu Edy Asmara, Laksmi Shitaresmi, Grace Tjondronimpuno, S.Sn and Ketut Lekung Sugantika. As part of the art and cultural exchange project, the collaboration between these Asean neighbors bears ideas, attitudes and opinions in presenting different artistic creations. The exhibition therefore reflects the neo barbarism of human race, the complex deception that affects people’s lifestyle as well as the variation of races, genders and the context of belief in consumerism among the change of society, economy, politics and culture in the 21st century.
