Event Description

The Most Important Digital and Photographic Art event in Europe that will stimulate and provoke the art lover as well as serve as an opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts.

In September of this year the Chianciano Art Museum will be transformed. Works by artists such as Durer, Munch, Tiepolo and Magritte will be replaced by what is the next generation of artistic expression, Digital and Photographic Art. Independently from the exhibition, photographic workshops will be held in the conference centre and the library.

The Chianciano Award was instituted to give digital and photographic artists the opportunity to gain visibility on the international scene. The artists displayed will be those who capture their feelings, inspired by the reality around them, expressing their interpretation of life and communicating their philosophy of existence, using the digital revolution as their canvas.

The award exhibition is judged by internationally renowned experts and is curated by specialists that have staged shows in museums such as the Victoria and Albert in London as well as the Biennale of Chianciano 2009, as can be seen on the videos below.
THE PHOTO WORKSHOPS offer the possibility to achieve a deeper understanding of photographic technique thanks to the skill of the five professionals that will lead the course. The classes are open to amateur and professional photographers.

These photographers, whose works appear in important international publications such as The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Time Magazine, Forbes, The Times of London, Washington Post, Corriere della Sera, L’Espresso, Le Monde, Le Figaro, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, Stern, will be the tutors for the workshop.

The Chianciano Art Museum has had significant exposure on national and international newspapers and magazines during the Biennale of Chianciano and was praised by the New York Times. The Biennale hosted the works of 160 artists from all over the world, such as the Philippines, Korea, United States and Australia and had over 10,000 visitors.
