IMPERMANENCE
by Kittitorn Kasemkitwatana
at Project Room by Gallery VER
4 February 2018 - 25 March 2018
Opening reception sponsored by sangsom
4 February 2018 at 6 pm - 10 pm

When the inconsistency of surrounding conditions travels to touch our senses; hearing, visual observation, smell, the light touches from the air, the emotional waves, thoughts that instinctively connect each other. This information is transmitted into the body, penetrating into the mind wave after wave. Our breaths and thoughts rise and fall following the unsteady mind. When the energy waves hit, the state of mind, continually comes into being and dissolves (Impermanence) flows never ending.

The artist chooses "water" as the symbol of the uncertainty of the mental state. Naturally, the presence of water is constantly moving, never still. Water moves freely, even in the container and environment which is still and stable, it cannot keep water in its original state.

About the artist:
Kittitorn Kasemkitwatana, an artist and former designer. Graduated with a masters degree from the Department of Contemporary Design and Technology, L’ensci-les ateliers, Paris and Bachelor's Degree from Faculty of Decorative Arts, Department of Applied Art, Silpakorn University. Kittitorn worked as a designer in a fashion company. Currently working as a curator assistant and project manager under the Foundation of Mrigadayavan Palace, producing Thai historical exhibitions, especially during the reign of King Rama VI, contemporary botany projects and the preservation of the architecture.
