Koi Art Gallery is proud to present “I’ll Spread My Wings” art exhibition to be held from August 8- September 14, 2014. This exhibition showcases the latest artworks by Sudrak Khongpuang who explores the simplicity of Thai life in the cradle of Mother Nature.
“I’ll Spread My Wings” is a solo exhibition of latest artworks by Sudrak Khongpuang, a talented female Thai artist with a Bachelors Degree in Art and Masters in Art Education from Burapha University. In this exhibition, the artist illustrates infinite freedom of simple Thai life under peaceful skies and mesmerizing nature.
As an artist living within four walls of a polluted cosmopolitan city, Sudrak escapes it all through her paintings. Through her works, she connects her spirit with the veiled bird flying above the vast rice fields, river streams, and earth populated by people who live within the scent of this greenery everyday. The landscapes exude a peaceful and wondrous quality which both entraps and alleviates viewers’ experience.
A contemporary public figure, Bryant McGill stated, “Simplicty is the most complex concept you will ever contemplate.” A statement which people universally can relate to, viewers implore similar thoughts with the simple yet complicated brushstrokes of Sudrak’s works.
Emanating of peace, freedom and pastel colors, the exhibition seeks to find a haven within nature and express gratitude of life through its serene and contemplative vibe. With the works, the artist explains her desire, “I will spread my wings and fly in the breeze of freedom… they help me to illustrate my identity.”
