Now until end of November 2009, Luu Hong Phong, the Vietnamese artist is holding the solo painting exhibition “Fly me to the Moon” at Grand Millennium Sukhumvit.
Born in 1978 in a small town nestled on the bank of the Ma River, Thanh Hoa City is located not far away from Ham Rong, a well – known beauty spot and historical vestige site in Vietnam. Luu Hong Phong was encouraged at a young age to enter the arts. He was sent to the art school in Hanoi where he was able to fine tune his expression and talent. Luu continued on teaching art drawing for a few years and then the need to express in paintings became a necessity.
From the young memories, the environment, the landscape and the way of life in his village gave him the inspiration. His paintings reflect the surroundings of his town and the Vietnamese simple life in the country side in its magnificence.
This exhibition, Luu is expressing himself not only with the paint brushes and knife but also using hands and mind to show the strong feeling on the canvas. With this technique, the colour will show more vitality through the paintings:-Eye of the storm, Time Zone, Blinding Light, Music of colour etc. Luu is still searching the new territories in his art to keep his dream alive.
All paintings are available for sale from 09.00 – 20.00 hrs. For more information, please contact 0 2204 4121 or email fb@grandmillenniumskv.com
