Pakitsilp Varamissara

The Toot Yung Gallery is pleased to announce the first erotic oriented show of Chiang Mai based painter Pakitsilp Varamissara. As in traditional Thai art Varamissara's painting displays erotism with subtility and humor. Recently inspired by Asian primitive art, Varamissara has rendered erotic works to its basic shapes, creating compositions with a mystical, almost spiritual feel. Comprising some 30 works created from an over 20 years period, this exhibition is a subtle selection of tempera on wood, using traditional Thai painting method, sketches, acrylic paintings, and sculptural painted objects.
