ขอบฟ้าเดียวกัน เป็นนิทรรศการแสดงเดี่ยวผลงานศิลปะในรอบ 10 ปี ของศุภฤกษ์ คณิตวรานันท์ขอบฟ้า (Horizon) ในความหมายของทัศนคติและวิธีการมองโลก ซึ่งเกิดจากมุมมองของตัวเราไปเชื่อมกับสิ่งต่างๆ ในโลก ภาพขอบฟ้ากับคลื่นทะเลบนจอแอลอีดีที่มีลักษณะภาพแบบหยาบๆ และถูกยืดขยายไปตามพื้นที่ของห้องนิทรรศการ ที่สะท้อนเรื่องการตั้งคำถามกับข้อจำกัดของการรับรู้ และการให้ความหมายกับความทรงจำที่ไม่ใช่แค่การทำงานของสมอง แต่เป็นการก่อตัวของเรื่องเล่าผ่านการให้ความหมายเชิงสังคม ระยะและตำแหน่งที่ส่งผลต่อมุมมองและการตีความ การยึดติดกับภาพความทรงจำในอดีต ประสบการณ์ ประวัติศาสตร์ และความเป็นตัวตน ล้วนส่งผลต่อการเกิดอคติและการเหมารวม เป็นขอบฟ้าที่ต่อเนื่อง เป็นอคติที่เกิดขึ้นในใจของเรา อันเป็นข้อจำกัดของการทำความเข้าใจปรากฏการณ์และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมนุษย์ที่แตกต่างกัน

ปัจจุบันศุภฤกษ์ คณิตวรานันท์ เป็นอาจารย์ประจำสาขาจิตรกรรม คณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา

Continued Horizon is the latest solo art exhibition from Suparirk Kanitwaranun in the past ten years. Horizon offers a perspective of the world derived from our connection with various objects. The expanse of the sky and the sea, crudely portrayed on LED monitors and spanned across the exhibition room, reflects the questioning and the limit of our awareness, and defines “memories” not merely as some machination of our brain, but the narration of social status quo. Distance and position that influences perspective and interpretation, adherence to past memories, experience, histories, and identities – all contributes to our bias and stereotyping, a continued horizon deep within our psyche that represents the limit of our understanding of worldly phenomena and the different connections between humans.

Suparirk Kanitwaranun is now an art lecturer at the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Burapha University.
