The Burning House Project เป็นโปรเจ็คท์ที่ให้ทุกคนสร้างสรรค์ผลงานของตัวเอง ภายใต้หัวข้อที่ถูกตั้งเป็นคำถามได้อย่างน่าสนใจว่า หากบ้านของคุณเกิดไฟไหม้ คุณจะเก็บเอาข้าวของอะไรติดตัวไป? เมื่อค้นคว้ามาได้แล้ว จัดแจงถ่ายรูป แล้วส่งเข้าร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่ง โดยจะต้องให้ข้อมูลพื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับตนเองเล็กน้อย ซึ่งข้าวของที่เลือกไปนั้นก็จะสะท้อนตัวตนและแบ็คกราวนด์ส่วนบุคคล

โปรเจ็คท์นี้ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อเดือนพฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2554 ที่ผ่านมา โดยช่างภาพชื่อ Rober Holden เริ่มต้นเก็บบันทึกภาพมาจนถึงวันนี้ก็ได้ครบหนึ่งปีพอดี ด้วยการตั้งคำถามที่น่าสนใจให้ฉุกคิด ปัจจุบันจึงมีผู้คนจากทั่วโลกเข้าร่วมพากันส่งภาพมาหลายร้อยภาพแล้ว และสิ่งที่น่าสนใจมากไปกว่านั้นคือข้าวของที่ผู้คนเลือกเอาติดตัวไป เพราะในขณะที่คนหนึ่งเลือกเอาโทรศัพท์มือถือ กล้องถ่ายรูป หนังสือ อีกคนหนึ่งเลือกมีด ปืน สเปรย์พริกไทย และอีกคนหนึ่งกลับเลือกเท็ดดี้แบร์ บาสเก็ตบอล!
