This was the remains of the Khun Inthapramum temple of Angthong province, Thailand. What is left of the temple is this gigantic reclining Buddha. The statue size is estimated around 40 to 50 feet.

History tells that centuries ago, a certain government official (Khun Inthapramum) embezzled money inorder to build this temple; just to have all the Buddhist merits for himself. But the Thai king at that time asked him to where he had the funds to construct an ambitious temple. He was investigated and he was found guilty of embezzlement. He was sentenced to death. After all that, they have named the temple in honor of that convicted man. That's what I call ironic.
