The Reading Room และ Arthub Asia เสนอ การจัดฉายผลงานวีดิโออาร์ตของศิลปินจีน Zhang Peili ตั้งแต่ปี 1980 มาจนถึงปัจจุบัน โดยเป็นงานที่จัดต่อเนื่องมาจากการบรรยายของ Zhang Peili ที่หอศิลป์บ้านจิม ทอมป์สัน และงานแสดงศิลปะ "Survival Techniques" ที่หอศิลปวิทยนิทรรศน์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ในช่วงเดือนกุมภาพันธ์-มีนาคม ที่ผ่านมา โดยมี Davide Quadrio จาก Arthub Asia เป็นภัณฑารักษ์

เกี่ยวกับ Zhang Peili:

The Reading Room and Arthub Asia presents screening selections of Zhang Peili's video works from the 1980's till the recent years. This event is organized in consequence to Zhang Peili's presentation at the Jim Thompson Art Center on the occasion of his participation in "Survival Techniques," a group exhibition, curated by Davide Quadrio of Arthub Asia, at The Art Center, Chulalongkorn University during February-March 2011.

Screening of Zhang Peili's video works will be introduced by Davide Quadrio followed by a Q & A session.

About Zhang Peili:
Zhang Peili (1957, Hangzhou) is considered a milestone in Chinese contemporary art scene and one of the country's pioneering video artist. He graduated from Zhejiang Art Academy in the early 80s, then gave up painting and experimented with video art first and then new media. He was the first Chinese artist to create a video art work back in 1988, when he recorded himself washing a chicken over and over. His works is often infused with sharp social and political commentaries.
