A lecture entitled “Dear Love: From the Great War to the Vietnam War” by Dr. Tul Israngura Na Ayudhya, a historian who specialises in medieval and early modern European history, particularly the history of the Great War and the Second World War, deals with letters written during war time. This lecture considers the connection between various letters written during the Vietnam War which have been exhibited as art objects. It will reveal the meaning and implication of feelings, thoughts and the impact of war on individuals: the soldiers, their lovers and families.

การบรรยายเรื่อง “Dear Love: From the Great War to the Vietnam War” ว่าด้วยเรื่องของจดหมายที่เขียนขึ้นในยาม สงครามโดย ดร. ตุลย์ อิศรางกูร ณ อยุธยา นักประวัติศาสตร์ที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านประวัติศาสตร์ยุโรปสมัยกลาง และต้นสมัยใหม่โดยเฉพาะประวัติศาสตร์สงครามโลกครั้งที่หนึ่งและครั้งที่สอง การบรรยายนี้จะเชื่อมโยงกับวัตถุจัดแสดง คือจดหมายที่เขียนขึ้นในช่วงสงครามเวียดนามเพื่อเผยให้เห็นนัยของความรู้สึกนึกคิด และผลกระทบของสงครามที่มีต่อ ปัจเจกบุคคลทั้งที่เป็นทหาร คนรัก และครอบครัวของพวกเขา
