นิทรรศการ MD3 Fragility and Monumentality

แนวคิด ผู้เข้าร่วมได้สังเกตเห็นลักษณะโครงสร้างต่างๆของห้อง และสร้างสรรค์ผลงานจากสิ่งของอุปกรณ์เครื่องใช้ต่างๆที่นำมาจากห้องเก็บพัสดุของหอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร

เจษฎา ตั้งตระกูลวงศ์ ศิลปินชาวไทย จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี จาก San Francisco Art Institute ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา และระดับปริญญาโท จาก UCL Slade School of Fine Arts ประเทศอังกฤษ เจษฎา ตั้งตระกูลวงศ์ เริ่มต้นทำงานรูปแบบไซท์-สเปซิฟิค อินสตอลเลชั่น (Site-Specific Installation) ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2548 ผลงานส่วนใหญ่เป็นการประยุกต์กับโครงสร้างสถาปัตยกรรมในพื้นที่ โดยคาดหวังให้ผู้ชมเกิดการคำถามต่อวัสดุ เทคนิคและโครงสร้างสถาปัตยกรรม และตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2554 ผลงานของเจษฎา ตั้งตระกูลวงศ์ มักผสมผสานวัฒนธรรมภาคอีสานของประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ทำงานและพำนักอาศัยในปัจจุบัน ตัวอย่างนิทรรศการล่าสุด เช่น ในปี พ.ศ. 2556 นิทรรศการ Nave 13 ณ Espacio de Creacion Contemporanea ประเทศสเปน, นิทรรศการ The Hua Krathi Project ณ School of Art Gallery, RMIT Unversity ประเทศออสเตรเลีย และนิทรรศการ Downfall ณ หอศิลปมหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ เป็นต้น

EXHIBITION EDUCATION AND ACTIVITY: MD3 Fragility and Monumentality activity

Workshop Title: 5 Shelves, Site- Specific Installation Art
Participating audiences: Young aged 12-17
Date: Saturday 19 July, Time: 1-4pm
Venue: Friends of BACC room, 6th floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre

Concept: The participants would observe the structure in activity room and create the artworks from the tolls which are from the BACC storage room.

JedsadaTangtrakulwong, Thai artist. He graduated the Bachelor’s degree from San Francisco Art Institute at the United States and the master’s degree from UCL, Slade School of Fine Arts, England. He started Site-Specific installation since 2005; most of his works have been applied with the architectural structure in a space in order to expect the audiences to question about the materials, techniques and structures. After 2011, he has combined the culture of the North-eastern where is his current workplace and residence in Thailand. He exhibited a lot of exhibition, for example Nave 13 at Espacio de Creacion Contemporanea, Spain (2013), The Hua Krathi Project at School of Art Gallery, RMIT Unversity, Australia and Downfall at Bangkok University Gallery.
