เมื่อไม่นานมานี้ ได้กินข้าว ที่ได้มาจากคนขายปลาหมึกบด ลูกชิ้นปิ้ง

แกกลับบ้านไปทำนา แล้วมีน้ำใจเอาข้าวสารที่ปลูกมาให้

เป็นข้าวขาวสวย หุงขึ้นหม้อ มียางข้าวพอให้ข้าวจับตัวกันเป็นก้อน

รสชาติไม่ต้องพูดถึง หวานมัน เป็นรสชาติที่หาได้ยากมาก โดยเฉพาะร้านข้าวต่างๆ ทั่วไป แม้แต่ ร้านดีๆตามห้าง แทบจะไม่มีให้ได้ทาน

เป็นข้าวที่มาจากชาวนาแท้ๆเลย

ผมได้มีโอกาส ได้อ่านเรื่องเกี่ยวกับข้าวๆ จึงได้รู้ว่า

ข้าวเมืองไทย กลับจะไม่ได้เป็นของคนไทย และกำลังถูกประเทศอื่นขโมยไป

เพราะคนไทย จริงๆน้อยนักที่จะนึกถึง รสชาติของข้าว กลับนึกถึงเพียงแค่รสชาติของอาหารที่กินคู่กันไป

ความสำคัญของกลิ่น รส และลักษณะ จึงหายไป

นายทุน มุ่งเน้น ปริมาณเพื่อที่จะได้กำไร และนำมาบีบคั้นเกษตรกร โดยการกดราคา

จ้างนักวิจัย นักวิทยาศาสตร์ มาทดลองปลูกข้าว เพื่อให้ได้ปริมาณมาก โตเร็ว

จึงได้สายพันธุ์ที่ทนกับ ปุ๋ยเคมี ที่ไร้ซึ่ง ความอวบ ความหวาน และยางเหนียวๆที่ทำให้ข้าวรสชาติดีขึ้น

ทำให้นึกคนพูดของคนเก่าๆ ว่า ของดีมักไม่ได้หามาได้ง่าย

ที่ว่าคนไทยผูกพัน กับ ข้าว นั้น เป็นเพียงแค่ อดีตไปแล้วหรือ?

ของที่อยู่เคียงคู่โต๊ะอาหารทุกๆครัวเรือนไทย และเป็นสิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุด

แต่ กลับถูกลืม รสชาติ

Because most Thai people thinks about taste of rice, There's only thinking about taste of the food.

Entrepreneurs all focusing on quantity not quality, and pressure to the farmer by decreased the price.

Hiring the scientist to find the processing or methodology to make the rice growing up easily.

And end up to the rice, which is able to working with the fertilizer, the taste as paper.

It's all remind me about the old people said "that's not easy to get to best thing"

Could I still say "Thai people is familiar with the rice", or it already passing!?
