Video/Motion Graphic Group Head

Department: Digital (Web design & Motion graphic)

Supervisor: Digital Design Director

Job Summary & Description:

• Reporting to the Digital Design Director, the Motion graphic group head will provide creative leadership for motion graphic and video presentation.

Job Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Design and create overall look and feel for motion graphics projects. Collaborate with the design team to come up with unique and engaging creative experiences.
• Brainstorm and conceptualizes ideas, with ability to produce concept sketches and quick concept edits.
• Manage the creation of storyboards, animatics, and pre-visualization video edits.
• Adjust designs to fit internal and client needs or taste
• Work with other designers, developers or technicians to complete final products
• Estimate project timelines and work within the scope of the project

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Demonstrate the ability to tell stories visually.
• Excellent understanding of motion, visual pacing and timing
• Possess strong composition, color and design, typography and layout skills.
• Have a core skill set in AfterEffects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Final Cut Pro/ Premiere
• Highly collaborative, work within team environment and accept direction from art lead, producer and product development.
• Ability to work to budgets and deadlines
• Ability to communicate confidently in English
• Demonstrated ability to work within provided structure and with attention to production schedules.
