Pomelo Fashion (www.pomelofashion.com) is an online fast fashion destination for fashion-forward women in Asia. It is one of the fastest growing start-ups in South East Asia and is actively growing its team of talented and passionate individuals.

About the position:

Pomelo is looking for an associate to join our Visual Design team. As a member of this team, you will be working closely with our Art Director, current Visual Designers as well as the Editorial Team and front-end developers in creating design solutions holistically by strategically implementing images, colors, typography and other elements that travel across all platforms, both online and offline. The role involves a high understanding of our brand, customer target and their needs before making communicative design decisions.

You will work with briefs given from other departments to develop creative ideas and concepts before choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the brand’s objectives. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing visually stimulating visuals for the Pomelo website, emails, and social media posts for various promotions and campaigns.
• Create a look consistent with all of Pomelo - while pleasing our customers.
• Communicating effectively with the Art Director and other Visual Designers, along with the Editorial Team and our front-end developers to discuss the briefs, business objectives and requirements of the job (may be subjected to manage more than one design brief at a time and allocating relevant amount of time according to the value of the job).
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts to contribute to the team.
• Working with a wide range of media, including Adobe suites, photography, video, and other computer-aided design.
   

• Degree in Design or related fields. 
• 0-1 year of relevant experience in communication design, including fresh grads with high determination.
• Experience and expertise in photography, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. 
• Basic understanding of visual design theories (color theory, composition, etc).
• Take ownership of your work.
• Have excellent time management skill, with amazing attention to detail and can work under pressure and deadlines.
• Be proactive, enthusiastic and passionate about design, aesthetics and current trends.
• Positive and fun attitude, flexible and a good team player who is eager to learn and create.
• Able to communicate in Thai and English.
