EMPLOYMENT POSITION: Architectural Lighting Designer (2 vacancies)

Salary: Monthly base salary will be commensurate with work experience and skills

Role & Responsibilities: The lighting designer position requires a minimum of 2-3 years experience in professional architectural lighting design. The ideal candidate must be able to create aesthetic appeal for architecture as well as interior spaces by combining value engineering, artistic talent and technical knowhow.  He or she will be a member of design team responsible for a variety of projects from different sectors including hospitality, retail, education and healthcare.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years experience in architectural lighting
• Must be knowledgeable of current lighting technology and practices
• Must be highly professional in communication of ideas and concepts to clients
• Ability to create feasible lighting designs, work within a team
• Ability to create sketches and images to communicate design ideas and concepts
• Ability to create cost analysis
• Must understand project workflow and project plans
• Good time management habits, ability to multi-task, ability to sustain focus on long tasks
• Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, teamwork and creativity
• Able to use MS Word, Excel, CAD, Revit, Photoshop, Dialux, AGI32 etc.
• Proven ability to perform in a work environment with minimum supervision
• Coursework in architectural or lighting systems design, and/or building systems design
• Internship experience in design studios with emphasis on electrical design, academic research or testing with relevant focus are preferable

• Membership in IES, IALD or PLD is also preferable but not necessary
