Senior Multimedia Designer

AirAsia is looking for a highly motivated, creative thinker and talented senior designer to join our in-house, multi-disciplinary creative team in Bangkok to help shape AirAsia’s brand narrative for the regional market. Visual and graphic artists with a solid portfolio of stunning visuals and illustrations, and have a deep understanding of visual storytelling are encouraged to apply.

 Reporting to the Creative Head, our designer will be directly responsible for all visual creatives for campaigns across various channels and platforms. They must possess a sharp eye for art, iconography, and the latest trends that will influence visual concepts and styles to deliver innovative, fresh and culturally relevant designs.

 They must also demonstrate great ability to drive their design work from ideation through concept development and execution. The senior designer must also be able to work effectively and comfortably in a multilingual environment.

 Our creative team is connected to every department within the company, external agencies and production houses. Together with these partners, we strive to develop creative solutions to challenges we face as an agile, tech-travel company.


  • Strong visual sense and superb design skills (typography, layout, image, etc.)
  • Take ownership of design tasks across multiple platforms (offline and online)
  • Skills not limited to stills but also animation/motion graphics
  • Generate creative design proposals and respond to market needs
  • Deep understanding of local market’s culture, sensibilities and nuances with a solid knowledge and understanding of design, printing processes, usage behaviors, engagement methods for major commerce and social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Wechat, Weibo, etc)
  • Superb understanding of web technologies (html, css, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, .net) and other modern application programming languages is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, strong work ethic and pride themselves in their quality of work.
  • Able to work  independently as well as be a good team player and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • 3+ years of creative experience in areas including advertising, digital (web/interaction/interface) and graphic design within an advertising/design agency, in-house agency, or a combination of both.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English is required.
  • Full command of relevant software tools (Adobe Creative Suite). Proficient in design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator (not only to manipulate but to create)
  • Portfolio is required
