POSITION OVERVIEW

Pomelo is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Graphic Design team. As a member of this team, you will be working closely with our Senior graphic designers as well as the Marketing team in creating design solutions that have high visual impact towards our customers within the constraints of our brand, both online and offline. The role involves a high understanding of our customer target and their needs before making communicative design decisions. You will work with briefs given from other departments to develop creative ideas and concepts before choosing the appropriate media and style to meet the brand’s objectives. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. 

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Students who are still continuing their studies are welcome to apply for an internship, both during free school hours and holidays. The internship program will allow candidates to gain deep experience in visual design for eCommerce, concept development, & teamwork in a fast paced, non-hierarchical environment.  On-site training & guidance will be provided by product leaders at Pomelo.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating visually stimulating graphics for the Pomelo website, emails, and social media posts for various promotions and campaigns.

Meeting with Senior Graphic Designer and other Graphic Designers, along with the Marketing and Engineering Teams to discuss the briefs. business objectives and requirements of the job (may be subjected to manage more than one design brief at a time and allocating relevant amount of time according to the value of the job).

Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts to contribute to the team.

Working with wide range of media, including Adobe suites, photography, video & other computer-aided design.

Job Requirements:

Pursuing a degree in Communication Design, Communication Arts, or other design-related fields. 

0-1 year of relevant experience in communication design, including fresh grads with high determination.

Knowledge and experience in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. Knowledge in video animation programs (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro) and basic web design are not mandatory, but are great additions.

Basic understanding of visual design theories (color theory, composition, etc).

Take ownership of your work.

Have excellent time management skill, with amazing attention to detail and can work under pressure and deadlines.

Be proactive, enthusiastic and passionate about design, aesthetics and current trends.

Positive and fun attitude, flexible and a good team player who is eager to learn and create.

Able to communicate in Thai and English.
