[ Job ] Editorial Assistant/Junior Writer at Bangkok 101 Magazine

Talisman Media Group Co. Ltd

Talisman Media Group, publisher of Bangkok’s leading visitor magazine Bangkok 101 and the Bangkok Art Map (BAM!), is urgently looking to fill the following position:

EDITORIAL ASSISTANT/JUNIOR WRITER

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-          Assisting the editor in day-to-day running of Bangkok 101 magazine and other Talisman Media publications (making appointments, research, etc).

-          Maintain excel spreadsheets and photo archives for the magazine and other projects.

-          Upload content to the Bangkok 101 website using a CMS.

-          Oversee and maintain our social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook etc)

-          Excellent English writing skills and a desire to become a lifestyle/travel writer will be an advantage. For the right candidate there is the potential to become involved in the editorial side – write listings, reviews, features etc for Bangkok 101 magazine and website. However, note this will involve venturing out into Bangkok, and often after normal working hours, so desk-jockeys/clock-watchers need not apply.

REQUIREMENTS:

        -          Thai citizen, fluent in spoken & written English.

-          Bachelor Degree in related fields.

-          A self-starter with opinions and ideas, not to mention excellent organisational, social and time-keeping skills.

-          Passionate and knowledgable about Bangkok and Thailand at large – culture, neighbourhoods, food, lifestyles etc.

-          Experience in publishing and/or working within an editorial team will be an advantage, though fresh, tenacious graduates with raw talent are welcome to apply too.

-          Internet, computer and social media savvy.
