[ Job ] Whitespace is looking for Head draftsman / CAD manager

We are seeking visionary and passionate Head draftsman / CAD manager to work with an assorted range of retail related clients and other interior projects.

Whitespace Co., Ltd is an American owned design firm based in Bangkok, Thailand. Whitespace is a recognized leader in Thailand for our retail and brand designs. This is an excellent opportunity to join our team of designers and work on projects from retail to hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Manage production of all construction documents

• Provide technical detailing support for draftsmen

• Check construction documents before sending for bids and construction

• Develop, implement, and enforce CAD standards

• Provide training and supervision of CAD draftsman

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture/ Interior design drafting.

• 10 year+ experienced architect with a strong technical/construction background.

• Self-motivated, detail orientated and client focused, ability to work in a team office environment.

• Excellent skills in autoCad and detail drawing

• Good verbal communication and presentation skills in English is required Detail job description

• Provide drafting leadership, production CAD support

• Develop, implement and enforce CAD Standards

• Organize the CAD environment

• Supply technical support for all CAD software

• Interact on project standards coordination with clients

• Insure CAD vendor management

• Provide leadership and vision to the firm in the area of CAD

• Scheduling drawing completion

• Check construction documents before sending for bids and construction

• Conduct project related model reviews/ Review the 'production model' (production process or system) for a specific project type (ie. iStudio, .life)

Training

• Provide training and supervision of in-house CAD users

• Train in-house support staff

• Develop training budget and overall scope CAD IT program

• Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions

• Generate written technology evaluations for future software adoption

• Provide a budget for all CAD technology items

• Maintain CAD document archive and retrieval for projects

• Customization of CAD Programs

• Maintain CAD Software inventory

• Clean up CAD files for project closeout
