The ICRC Regional Delegation in Bangkok is looking for candidates for a:

Project Assistant: to support 3D training materials (Full Time)

This position’s main responsibilities are to support the Head of Project (Bangkok) and Legal Training

Adviser (Geneva), on its internal/external digital communication(s) relating to International

Humanitarian Law (IHL) introduction and handle day to day inquires relevant to the post

independently. The person will be required to implement their 3D Animation skills from concept

proposal, designing, creating and updating digital IHL related training tools to be used by ICRC legal

adviser, IHL training specialists and delegates worldwide.

He/she will be responsible for:

 Taking charge of all technical aspects linked to the creation of video clips and images made of a

computer simulator called ARMA3.

 Handling overall technical digital projects through recording, doing the montage, enhancing the

images/videos using graphics software and imbedding the final versions into ICRC e-learning

modules or platforms.

 Transforming complex information into simpler digital tools for the ICRC internal/external clients

 Cooperating with the legal training sector in Geneva to integrate the latest ICRC graphic

guidelines and quality standards.

 Keeping track of new IHL developments and ICRC doctrines having an impact on the contents of

the digital training tools (use of emblems, direct participation to hostilities, prevention doctrines,

etc).

 Writing basic reports and handling correspondences

 Ensures follow up and updates of specific files independently

Experience

 University degree or equivalent

 2 years’ work experience in audio-visual production

 Fluent in written and spoken English

 Excellent computer skills including Microsoft words, excel, powerpoint

 Capacity to treat sensitive information confidentially

 Capacity to apply and implement ICRC rules and procedures

 Strong knowledge in video gaming, especially combat simulators (ARMA3)

 Excellent video editing skills (Adobe Premier Pro, After effect Sony Vegas)

 Good image editing skills (Photoshop or others)

 Other graphic or audio design skills an asset (Illustrator, Publisher, In Design, etc)

 Familiar with international Humanitarian Law, military or police experience is an asset.
