Jewelry recipes Is a one-day workshop getting in touch with the contemporary jewelry world taking as a conductor thread our daily experience with food.
Food forms a central part of any social occasion as jewelry intends to create relationships between people. Both of them identify ourselves.

Through conceptual exercises, drawings and material research, the participants will learn to create original jewelry pieces. It is the aim of this workshop to familiarize with the creative process to transform ideas into tangible thoughts.
We will work in-group; team and individual teaching is part of this course suitable for beginners and advanced students, as they will be followed up according to their level of experience.

By the end of the day the students will have created a finish piece of jewelry.

Students must bring some material typical from the area to share with other students

About Instructor:

Giulia Savino is born in Italy. She graduated in fashion design at Politecnico di Milano and studied contemporary jewelry at Alchimia in Florence.
She is currently living and working in Cairo, since December 2012.
She collaborated for the opening of The Design Studio by Azza Fahmy, the first jewelry school of a kind in the Middle East and now she is teaching jewelry making and design to students from different parts of the world. She has exhibited her work internationally at group exhibitions and fairs, including Schmuck 2012 in Munich.

“I love to get inspired from daily event, the reality I’m in and the space I’m surrounded by. My work is focus in understanding and experimenting the connection between materiality and concept ideas, in finding the balance between the reality and the abstraction.
I approach and investigate different materials, looking for the unpredictable.
My jewels are intimate, vital and self-perceptive. ”
