หอศิลปวิทยนิทรรศน์ ขอเชิญร่วมสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการ [Traditional Special Effect Workshop]

แม้การสร้างเทคนิคพิเศษของภาพยนตร์ในปัจจุบันจากคอมพิวเตอร์ หรือภาพ CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery) อาจจะเป็นเรื่องที่แยกจากกันไม่ได้อีกต่อไป แต่การสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการในครั้งนี้ มุ่งเปิดโอกาสให้กับผู้ที่สนใจงานภาพเคลื่อนไหว ได้ร่วมสร้างผลงานผ่านเทคนิคการถ่ายทำในแบบโบราณ และลงมือทดลองสร้างเทคนิคพิเศษด้วยวัสดุธรรมชาติ หรือที่เรียกว่า ‘Organic Effect’ รวมถึงการศึกษาวิธีการสร้างภาพเทคนิคพิเศษตามแบบของ Douglas Trumbull [ผู้บุกเบิกการทำงานด้านเทคนิคพิเศษในภาพยนตร์เรื่อง 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1968 และ The Tree of Life, 2011] ด้วยเทคนิคที่เรียกว่า Slit-Scan ซึ่งเป็นเทคนิคดั่งเดิมที่ใช้สร้างภาพการเคลื่อนที่ของเส้นแสงในภาพยนตร์แนวนวนิยายวิทยาศาสตร์ในอดีต

การสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการ [Traditional Special Effect Workshop] เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของนิทรรศการ In Transit นิทรรศการกึ่งพื้นที่ทดลอง ผ่านการตีความและมุมมองที่มีต่อสื่อภาพ visual materials ของจักรวาล นิลธำรงค์ และศิลปินรุ่นใหม่อีก 4 ท่าน ได้แก่ เอกภณ เศรษฐสุข แก่นสาร รัตนสมฤกษ์ ศิวกร เทศะบำรุง และนัสรี ละบายดีมัญ เพื่อส่งผ่านความเป็นไปได้ในการรับรู้งานอันหลากหลายสู่ผู้ชม

The Art Center invites to the [Traditional Special Effect Workshop]

Even though computer-generated imagery cannot be separated from today’s films, this workshop aims to offer those interested in motion picture the opportunity to create special effects in a traditional fashion and experiment with organic effects. Participants will learn the methods developed by Douglas Trumbull, a special effect pioneer whose work is found in 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1968 and The Tree of Life, 2011 and the slit-scan technique, which was traditionally used to create lines of light in old sci-fi movies.

The Traditional Special Effect Workshop is part of the In Transit exhibition, in part an experimental space by Jakrawal Nilthamrong and four new young artists, namely Eakarpon Settasuk, Kaensan Rattanasomrerk, Siwakorn Tesabumrung and Nasree Labaideeman, interpreting and defining their aspect of visual materials, transmitting possible perceptions of the various forms of works to the audience.
