NANG (หนัง) เป็นชื่อของนิตยสารอิสระตีพิมพ์เฉพาะแบบเป็นรูปเล่มที่อุทิศเนื้อหาทั้งหมดให้แก่ภาพยนตร์และวัฒนธรรมภาพยนตร์เอเชีย ตั้งแต่เปิดตัวครั้งแรกในปี 2559 หนังแต่ละฉบับเกิดจากทำงานร่วมกันระหว่างกลุ่มบรรณาธิการและนักเขียนรับเชิญพิเศษ และตั้งใจให้เป็นพื้นที่ของความคิด การทดลอง รวมถึงการค้นคว้าในธีมที่เฉพาะเจาะจงต่างๆ 

การสนทนาในครั้งนี้จะย้อนกลับไปดูพัฒนาการของนิตยสารหนัง และรูปแบบในองค์ประกอบหลักของนิตยสาร หรือคือการย้ำจุดประสงค์และขอบเขตเนื้อหาในแต่ละฉบับ ไปพร้อมๆ กับการสร้างบทสนทนาระหว่างภาพยนต์และหน้ากระดาษที่ตีพิมม์หากลองมองในมุมที่กว้างขึ้น ก่อนจะพูดคุยเกี่ยวกับความท้าทายและความเป็นไปได้ต่างๆ ในการทำนิตยสารอิสระในปัจจุบัน 

NANG is an independent print-only magazine dedicated to cinema and cinema culture in the Asian World. Launched in 2016 and created in collaboration with a unique group of guest editors and contributors, each and every issue of NANG aims to provide a space for ideas, experimentation and research around specific themes. 

This talk will first trace the development of the magazine and chart some of its main elements—giving particular emphasis to its aim and scope and, more broadly, to the dialogue between cinema and the printed page—and will then move to discuss some of the challenges and possibilities of independent magazine-making today.

ดาวิเด คัซซาโร่ เป็นบรรณาธิการบริหารและผู้พิมพ์นิตยสารหนังชาวเวนิส อิตาลี ปัจจุบันเขาพำนักและทำงานที่โซล เกาหลีใต้ ตลอดหลายปีที่ผ่านมา เขาทำงานข้ามสาขาระหว่างภาพยนต์ สิ่งพิมพ์ และการค้นคว้าวิจัย ไปพร้อมๆ กับมุ่งมั่นสั่งสมความหลงใหลในโครงการพัฒนาและคัดเลือก รวมถึงดูแลการจัดพิมพ์เนื้อหาสิ่งพิมพ์ต่างๆ โครงการเกี่ยวกับภาพยนตร์ที่เขามีโอกาสได้ทำยังรวมถึง การทำงานร่วมกับเทศกาลภาพยนตร์นานาชาติปูซานในฐานะนักวิจัยและบรรณาธิการสิ่งพิมพ์ของเทศกาลฯ และเทศกาลภาพยนตร์นานาชาติเปซาโร่ ในฐานะภัณฑารักษ์และที่ปรึกษาโปรแกรม 

Davide Cazzaro is the publisher and editor-in-chief of Nang Magazine. Originally from Venice, Italy, he is currently based in Seoul, Korea. Over the years he has worked at the intersection of cinema, publishing, and research and has continued to hone his passion for developing, curating and overseeing print publishing projects. Past collaborations include work with the Busan International Film Festival as researcher and publishing editor and the Pesaro International Film Festival as curator and program consultant.
