สร้างสรรค์งาน โดยนำเรื่องราวที่อยู่รอบๆตัวและสิ่งที่ได้พบเห็นมาเป็นแรงบันดาลใจ

ในงานชุดนี้ได้นำตัวอักษรภาษาไทยที่มีการผสมผสานและใช้ร่วมกับ กับภาษาอื่นๆ

ที่พบเห็นได้โดยทั่วไปในชีวิตประจำวัน เช่น ตามสื่อต่างๆ ตามถนนหนทาง

ผมสนใจสภาพแวดล้อมต่างๆรอบๆตัว และชอบหยิบยกเรื่องง่ายๆ มาเป็น

หัวข้อในการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะ จากการใช้ชีวิตประจำวันหรือจากการเดินทาง

ตัวหนังสือ และเสียง ก็เป็นส่วนหนี่งในความสนใจ ในงานชุดนี้ ผมใช้ตัวอักษรไทย

และภาษาอังกฤษในรูปแบบของเสียงที่แตกต่างออกไป จากหลายแหล่งที่มา บทสวดมนต์

เป็นแง่มุมหนึ่งที่ถูกหยิบขึ้นมาสร้างงานเป็นความร่วมสมัยของภาษา และยังคงใช้กันอยู่

ในปัจจุบัน มีอายุมากว่าพันปีและยังคงใช้มาจนถึงทุกวันนี้ มาจาก บาลีและสันสกฤต

แสดงให้เห็นถึงความมีชีวิตและ ความร่วมสมัยของตัวหนังสือ ที่เป็นอารยธรรม

ของมนุษย์

เสียงพระสวดมนต์เป็นเสียงที่มีเสน่ห์สำหรับผม โดยผมสนใจในเรื่องของ

เสียงในบทสวด ประกอบกับการสวดมนต์เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในชีวิตประจำวัน มีทั้งที่รู้เรื่องบ้าง

ไม่รู้เรื่องบ้างในความหมาย บางบทก็มีคำแปลงานชุดนี้ผมให้ความสำคัญกับกระบวน

การสร้างงานโดยนำตัวอักษรมาใช้ในงานของผมเพราะผมรู้สีกว่าตัวหนังสือไทยใน

เสียงของบาลีเหล่านี้มีชีวิต กระบวนการทำงานที่เกิดขึ้นจากงานชิ้นหนึ่งถ่ายทอดไปสู่

อีกชิ้นหนึ่งทำให้เกิดความเงียบสงบในความรู้สึก จากการมีรูปแบบไปสู่การไม่มีรูปแบบ

จากความสลับ ซับซ้อนไปสู่การคลี่คลาย และจากความวุ่นวายไปสู่ความว่าง

Sound of Silence is the 4th solo exhibition here in Bangkok, Thailand. In

this exhibition, I am inspired by text of both languages, Thai and English;

combine into the works which audience can experience on our daily lives, all

kinds of mediums such as billboard, newspaper and TV.

I am always interested in things around myself ranging from small details

of experiences when I commute within day to day from big images to impact of

sound and then question myself with different issues. One of my inspirations that

I’ve gotten from this is the monks chanting from my daily routine. Also, listening

to monks chanting is one my favorite part of my activities. The chanting of the

monks has been around for thousand of years but still fit perfectly into our society

even in our very contemporary era.

I was inspired by the Thai language and Bali Sanskrit’s sound that the Thai

monks use for chanting. The Bali Sanskrit chanting is the heart and soul of

Buddhism. Instead of painting a picture of the Lord Buddha in a various different

poses, I decided to pick the most popular chants and stencil them onto the

canvas. The process of making art becomes the meditation practice from ones

work to others. They represent the claim peaceful and void during I am working.
