งานสัมนา Creativity and Self-Reliance Craft Development in Asia 1: BAMBOO  CRAFTS

งานสัมนาในครั้งนี้ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการ โครงการเสริมสร้างองค์ความรู้ด้านการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์สำหรับ สินค้าหัตถกรรมของชุมชน ภายใต้โครงการความร่วมมือ ไทย-องค์การทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาโลก (WIPO)เพื่อสร้างผลผลิตทาง ทรัพย์สินทางปัญญา และตราสินค้าให้กับชุมชนท้องถิ่น  ภายใต้ความร่วมมือระหว่างกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ กับคณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์และการออกแบบ  มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี 

ผู้บรรยายและหัวข้อ
Theme ของงานสัมนาในครั้งนี้ คือ ความคิดสร้างสรรค์กับการพัฒนางานหัตถกรรมเพื่อการพึงพาตนเองอย่างยั่งยืน
การบรรยายจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญทั้ง 3 ท่าน เจาะลึกลงไปในแต่ละแง่มุมของTheme  ดังต่อไปนี้ 

Professor MP Ranjan  
นักพัฒนา อาจารย์ นักวิชาการ จากNational Institute of Design (NID) ประเทศอินเดีย จะมาเล่าถึงประสบการณ์ในการใช้ design thinking เป็นเครื่องมือในการสร้างสรรค์กลยุทธ์เพื่อสร้างคุณภาพ ชีวิตที่ดีขึ้นให้กับคนในชุมชนที่ขาดแคลนหลายแห่งใน ประเทศอินเดีย เป็นเพื่อมุ่งสู่การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน   เริ่มตั้งแต่กระบวนการจัดการทรัพยากรไม้ไผ่หนึ่งในพืชเเศรษฐกิจ ที่น่าจับตา มองในยุคนี้ เพื่อการนำมาสร้างเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์  โดยยึดการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตคนในชุมชน เป็นหลักเพื่อมุ่งสู่การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน  กรณีศึกษาของชุมชนที่ขาดแคลนหลายแห่งในประเทศอินเดีย 

กรกต  อารมย์ดี   
นักออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์รุ่นใหม่ชาวไทย  ใช้มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่นแห่งจังหวัดเพชรบุรี มาเป็นแรงบันดาลใจในการออกแบบ ผลิตภัณฑ์จากไม้ไผ่   รวมทั้งสร้างระบบในการทำงานร่วมกับช่างชาวชุมชน ในการสร้างงานออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีเอกลักษณ์ 

Fabrice  Mattei 
ผู้เชี่ยวชาญเรื่องสิ่งบ่งชี้ทางภูมิศาสตร์ (GI-Geographical Indication) ตัวแทนจากองค์การทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาโลก (WIPO- World Intellectual Property Organization)นำเสนอกรณีศึกษา ของการใช้สิ่งบ่งชี้ทางภูมิศาสตร์ (GI-Geographical Indication) กับงานสร้างสรรค์ผลิตภัณฑ์หัตถกรรม  โดยมุ่งแสวงหาอัตลักษณ์ บางอย่างไม่ว่าจะเป็นภูมิปัญญาห รือวัสดุพื้นถิ่น เพื่อสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มให้กังานหัตถกรรม

Joshua Simanjuntak  และ  Abie  Abdillah
นักออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์และเครื่องเรือนจากประเทศอินโดนีเซีย  ผู้ให้ความสำคัญกับวัสดุและงานฝีมือพื้นถิ่นที่สะท้อนศิลปะวัฒนธรรมของชุมชนในอินโดนีเซีย ผลงานการออกแบบ ของทั้งคู่ภายใต้ Zylia Design Studio ที่ Joshua  เป็นผู้ก่อตั้งนั้นได้รับรางวัลทางด้านการออกแบบ จากหลายสถาบัน
นอกจากนี้ Joshuaยังเป็นบรรณาธิการให้กับนิตยสารSurface Asia Magazine อีกด้วย

Background:
The Seminar on Creative and Self-Reliance Craft Development in Asia aims to
complement the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Development
Agenda Project on IP and Product Branding for Business Development in
Developing and Least Developed Countries in collaboration with the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs, Thailand.

This seminar aims to generate a platform for the young creative designers, local scholars, academic scholars and international experts in Sustainable Livelihood
to meet and share their insights and experience in their craft development.
Under the theme of Social Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Livelihood and Creative
Crafts, the seminar will explore variety of case studies and dilemmas, where
crafts practices and craftsmen are the major emphasis. Bamboo will be the main chosen vernacular material in this seminar to be investigated in several
crafts making contexts. The seminar is also considered as the launch of the
following series of collaboration between the young Thai designers and bamboo
craft community of Tambon Bangchaocha, Angthong Province.

Korakot Aromdee, Craft Creative and Social Entrepreneur for Sustainable
Livelihood, Korakot International Limited Partnership, Ban Leam District,
Petchburi Province.

Joshua Simanjuntak  and Abie  Abdillah, Indonesian furniture designers. Joshua is also editor of the Surface Asia magazine.
