เทศกาลภาพยนตร์คัดสรร Cinema Diverse 2018: The Invisible Hands ชวนชม 4 ภาพยนตร์นานาชาติที่คัดเลือกโดย 5 ผู้อยู่เบื้องหลังงานสร้างแขนงสำคัญต่างๆ ในแวดวงภาพยนตร์ไทย พร้อมพูดคุยเจาะลึกถึงศิลปะการสรรค์สร้างภาพยนตร์เหล่านั้น

Cinema Diverse 2018: The Invisible Hands จัดขึ้นทั้งหมด 4 ครั้ง ตั้งแต่พฤษภาคม - พฤศจิกายน 2561 ทุกสองเดือน แต่ละครั้งฉายภาพยนตร์จากประเทศต่างๆ ที่หลากหลายทั้งด้านเนื้อหาและรูปแบบ คัดสรรโดยผู้มีส่วนในการสร้างภาพยนตร์ชาวไทย เพื่อเปิดมุมมองเกี่ยวกับศาสตร์และศิลป์ เบื้องหลังงานสร้างภาพยนตร์ เป็นการต่อยอดความรู้และสร้างแรงบันดาลใจอย่างลึกซึ้งแก่ผู้สนใจงานภาพยนตร์และบุคคลทั่วไป

สำหรับ Cinema Diverse 2018: The Invisible Hands ครั้งที่ 3 จะจัดขึ้นในวันเสาร์ที่ 29 กันยายน 2561 ด้วยภาพยนตร์จากประเทศจีนเรื่อง Youth ของผู้กำกับ เฝิงเสี่ยวกัง (Feng Xiaogang) เจ้าของรางวัลภาพยนตร์ยอดเยี่ยม Asian Film Awards ครั้งล่าสุด คัดสรรโดย สุธี เหมือนวาจา ผู้ออกแบบเครื่องแต่งกายให้แก่หนังหลายเรื่องของค่ายหนังไทยที่ประสบความสำเร็จสูงสุดอย่าง GTH และ GDH อาทิ ‘พี่มาก..พระโขนง’, ‘กวน มึน โฮ’ และ ‘น้อง.พี่.ที่รัก’

“เสื้อผ้าในหนังเรื่องนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่า เสื้อผ้าเป็นหนึ่งในกระบวนการขององค์ประกอบศิลป์ทั้งหมด สีสันที่ใช้นั้นไปด้วยกันกับงานโปรดักชั่น และสะท้อนถึงความสดใสแห่งวัยเยาว์ ก่อนจะค่อยๆ เปลี่ยนไปตามอารมณ์ของหนังและประสบการณ์ที่มากขึ้นของตัวละคร” – สุธี เหมือนวาจา

- 19:20 น. สนทนากับ สุธี เหมือนวาจา ดำเนินรายการโดย รศ.ฤทธิรงค์ จิวากานนท์ (ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ภาควิชาศิลปการละคร จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และผู้ออกแบบฉาก-เสื้อผ้าให้ M Theatre) (การพูดคุยมีการแปลเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ)

CINEMA DIVERSE 2018: THE INVISIBLE HANDS
Suthee Muenwaja: The Costume Designer

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre proudly presents “Cinema Diverse 2018: The Invisible Hands”. This year four international films, selected by five acclaimed professionals working in the film industry, will be shown bi-monthly from May – November 2018, followed by a talk after each screening.

The third screening of Cinema Diverse 2018: The Invisible Hands on 29 September is “Youth”, a Chinese film directed by Feng Xiaogang which won Best Film at the 2018 Asian Film Awards. “Youth” is chosen by Suthee Muenwaja, the costume designer for GTH and GDH’s most successful films including “Pee Mak”, “Hello Stranger” and “Brother of the Year”.

“The costume in this film doesn’t stand out as much but it rather ratifies that costume is a part of the film’s overall art direction. All the colours of the costume in this film are in sync with the whole production. At first, the bright colours of the costume reflects the blooming youth before changing the tone to represent the somber mood of the film and the characters that have been through difficult experiences” – Suthee Muenwaja

- 7.20 pm : Talk with Suthee Muenwaja. Moderated by Assoc. Prof.Rittirong Jiwakanon (Department of Dramatic Arts, Chulalongkorn University)
