Attention, storytellers! Bombyx is hosting its first-ever storytelling workshop on Saturday, September 7 @ Jam from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (16:00 by local reckoning). Seating is limited so sign up today!

In a few fun, interactive hours, we’ll cover all the essentials, such as: what exactly is public storytelling (and what is unique about it), what makes for a good story, how to find the right story to tell, ways to structure your story for maximum effect, and proven preparation and performance tips.

Because it’s a workshop and not a lecture, we ask everyone to come with a story idea or two in mind (don’t worry, no one is expected to perform – any work we do will be just for you). If you want to come but don't have a story in mind, that's still ok and we'll help you find one.

To keep things manageable, we’re capping the workshop size at twelve (12) participants. There will be a 500 baht fee to cover the cost of the venue with any excess going to refreshments for the group. Because arranging for pre-payment is frankly a pain in the ass, we are trusting that, if we confirm your spot in the workshop, you will show up at the appointed place and time (if only to avoid the seriously bad juju that will haunt you all your days if you don't).

If, by some miracle, we get more than twelve folks who say they are coming, then we’ll do the whole names-in-a-hat thing and confirm spots no later than August 31 so that everyone can plan accordingly.
