Biography All but one of Miraculous’ members used to be the members of Kai-Jo Brothers’(a well-known reggae band from Thailand). Tin Tin is not a member of Kai-Jo Brothers but he often comes to cover when Kai-Jo Brothers’ bass player can’t play. Also he graduated from the same university (College of Music, Mahidol University) as Jack, Te and Dy. Miraculous was formed in 2008 when they were working on Kai-Jo Brothers’ 3rd album ‘Born to be Free’. At that time Jack and Dy mixed the tracks from the ‘Born to be Free’ album to mix at Jack’s Studio (Sansieng Studio in Samut Sakhon). They soon became very tired from mixing and listening to the same tracks, so, to give themselves a break they started to listen to Enya and Enigma’s music. After listening to these songs for a while, they felt like they wanted to try to make some music in the same style as Enya and Enigma. So they started to rap over the music of Enigma’s songs. The next morning they came back to listen to what they had recorded the previous night. Then they felt it was miraculous that they had felt so tired the night before but when they listened to the music they had made it sounded so beautiful and miraculous to them. On that afternoon Jack and Dy began to talk about doing a special project based on this music. This is where the name Miraculous came from. About 2 or 3 days later they invited Te and Tin Tin to come and join the band. Oakey was the last member to join the band. When they had almost finished making the first album the band decided that Miraculous should have electronic percussion to make a more complete sound, so Oakey was invited to join them. They spent about one year making the first album (from November 2008 until November 2009). Finally the first album called ‘Tribute to Thailand’ (‘Cheud Chue Pra Thed Chard’) was released to the public on the 11th November 2009. Miraculous’ music is a blend of many kinds of music because all of the band members were born in the 1980’s and 1990’s, so they have all grown up listening to many musical genres such as Jazz , Soul , Fusion, Dance, Hip Hop and also Thai traditional music. They call their musical style “Lifetime Music” because it comes from a mix of the music that they have experienced and the music that they have enjoyed in their lifetimes.
