"Four Seasons" A Painting Exihibition
Piya Teerasuwan
Piya, the Maerim-Sameong based artist, makes his second year expressionist paintings at Tita gallery with an inspiration from Chiangmai's four seasons weather. He carries a torch for the old European expressionist masters experimented in the 17th/18th century. To make his latest art pieces works to their fullest extend and more relevant toward the present time, Piya armed himself with an abstract approach combining a square, twist and undulation trace of his progressive strokes
Piya's paintings typically captured an essence of Chiagmai changing climate during the year. Landscape, paddy field, tropical tree and forest find themselves in direct confrontation with the different Northern atmospheric weather, like in life it continue to evolve
From 31st July to 1st September 2011, The 20 Piya's Four Seasons paintings will be available on view at Tita Gallery Maerim Chiangmai
