Kasemsak is particularly interested in the human element. He loves to delve into and explore inner thoughts and the nature of people. His worksreflect the inner layer ofbeing ‘human’, by peering into the heart, soul, and feelings of common people. His works inspires viewers to ponder human nature especially ‘desire’.What lies beyond the Sur-Face of human that is hard to deny.His works reflect a lifelong perspective and versatile in expressions. In this exhibition, his works include Chinese ink drawing on paper and etching. The artist’s uniqueness is in his ink stroke. It flows with continuous rhythm and is vibrant, full of life and energy, creating the variety of emotions beyond human Sur-Face.
Kasemsak graduated from Silpakorn University in 1976. After a successful career in advertising career he moved to Chiang Mai in 2000 to pursue his dream of being an artist. He enjoyed working in different mediums – drawing, painting, sculpture and printing and his works were regularly exhibited. Sadly the artist was only granted a short time to pursue his dream. In 2005 he was with diagnosed cancer. For the next two years, while fighting cancer, Kasemsak continued to create unique works until his untimely departure.
