 ordially invites you to attend the Sepha Performance of Khun Chang Khu
 n Phaen on “Khun Phaen Abducting Wanthong”, leaded by Noppakhun Su
 dprasert (Lecturer of Thai Vocal Music, College of Dramatic Arts) and 
 Watit Duriangkul (Head of Art and Culture Conservation, Research Insti
 tute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University). This pro
 gram will be held on Saturday 11th June 2011 at 14:00-15:30 hrs. at Th
 e Jim Thompson Art Center. (Program will be in Thai with English summ
 ary) The performance of Khun Phaen Abduting Wanthong is a performance
  extracted from a sepha performance of Khun Chang Khun Phaen. The most
  important dance in this series of performances is the Cherd Chin Danc
 e. Performed to a beautiful melody, the work features unique dance pos
 es. The performance and dance poses presented here have been newly cre
 ated based on the idea that the horse Simok serves as a vehicle. The b
 eauty of performance is the unusual dance poses of all three performer
 s who must relate their gestures and movements to the riding of a hors
 e. Other poses include a flirting posture and three-lantern posture. F
 or the dance to be effective the dancers must be extremely well traine
