 – SEA OF CORROSION / FROM GROUND TO LIGHT” presents etching and aq
 uatint technique by the Japanese art master Tadayoshi Nakabayashi. The
  images are rooted in the idea of corrosion; the corrosion of the arti
 st's body in concert with the corrosion of the actual copper plates us
 ed in the printing process. The work of art represents tension and har
 mony between white paper and black ink which in turn become a metaphor
  for light and dark, day and night, and life and death. He also seeks 
 further the calm in the environment as well as in the society where li
