The landscape of the another facet of reality is re-created through an artistic process. It adheres onto the same object that the purchase’s detail — an emblem of a livel ihood— is printed on the opposite side. The distance between the two facets of reality has edged closer to be as thick as the thinness of a receipt. Due to the thinness of it, its transparency permits the tra ce from the other side to appear as a shadow of each other. Geng trans forms every receipt he received from a period of time into an artwork. Once again, he flips over the vague- and hard-to-grasp- idealistic ex pression of art, reversing an expression of his painting into the repr esentation of his living expense. To achieve that, he relatively fixes an artwork’s price following the total shown on each slip.
