DESCRIPTION:Bangkok – Rooftop Gallery by Farmani is proud to present
  a solo exhibition of Abstract-Surreal drawings & paintings by Karma S
 irikogar. Entitled “PraVaha”, the exhibition runs from January 8, 
 2014 – February 8, 2014, with an opening reception on Wednesday, Jan
 uary 8 from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. Free entry.\nKarma is a Singapore born,
  Thai-Indian artist and training Art Therapist, who creates intricatel
 y detailed and uplifting Abstract-Surreal imagery. “PraVaha\" derive
 s from the Sanskrit word for \"flow\", and represents a return for Kar
 ma to her Thai roots after honing her craft for two years at the prest
 igious Kala Bhavan Institute of Fine Arts in India.\nThe uniquely crea
 tive works in this series are tied together by Karma's signature style
  of visually melodious, organic geometric forms. Her creative process 
 captures the transient and continually flowing nature of existence. �
 �PraVaha” brings forth an aura of stillness and imagination, inspiri
 ng viewers to interact with her works on a personal and subjective lev
 el. The hypnotic details of her drawings and painting captivate viewer
 s with their universally illustrative nature and contemporary style.\n
 In Karma’s words, “My artwork unfolds intuitively and instinctivel
 y. I go with the flow, like a kite with no spool surrendered to the sk
 y, merging art-making and meditation practices. Thoughts of the Self f
 ade away, leaving an experience of peace through creative action. Some
 times, I start by listening in the quiet. In that quietness I start to
  hear music, a kind of inner rhythm alive in my body. That’s when I 
 pick up the brush, treat it as an extension of my own body and express
  that inner music onto canvas, dancing through brush strokes, marks, l
 andscapes, geometric forms and color; expressing subtle emotions, visi
 ons and dreams.”\n“PraVaha” will run through February 8, 2014. R

 next to Top Charoen Optical, take the stairs to the 4th floor. Gallery
