DESCRIPTION:In October 2019, the World Bank launched the “Thailand Y
 oung Artists: Our Country, Our Future” art contest, as part of the 7
 0th anniversary celebration and launch of the new Country Partnership 
 Framework between the Government of Thailand and the World Bank Group,
  to create an opportunity for the new generation to express and voice 
 their aspirations, goals and opinions on the critical issues facing th
 e country and the future of Thailand. Over 300 Thai children and youth
  from across the country, from Bangkok to Chiang Mai in the north and 
 Narathiwas in the south, sent artwork. The young artists used various 
 painting mediums including pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and charcoal o
 n paper and canvas to produce expressive and thoughtful artworks that 
 communicate their hopes and worries for the future of Thailand. A deep
  concern is the environment and climate change. The submission illustr
 ated their appreciation of sustainable development, and the strong res
 ponsibility they feel as stewards and protectors of the environment. T
 he young artists also expressed hope for high quality and accessible e
 ducation for everyone to uncover their full potential and to live in u
 nity and peace. Importantly, the artworks highlight the diversity embe
 dded in culture, heritage, and the Thai identity, as well as living in
