SUMMARY:ODC/Dance : Three Contemporary Dance Works from a World-Class
 Ensemble
DESCRIPTION:Three Contemporary Dance Works from a World-Class Ensemble
 \n\nการเต้นร่วมสมัย สามชุด

 ic Director/ Choreographer: Brenda Way\n\n\n\n“Straight-up, high-pow
ered modern dance.” – SFGate.com\n\n“They are fast; they are ath
letic; and they luxuriate in their own physicality. They are gorgeous
as individuals and as an ensemble.” – San Francisco Bay Guardian\n
\n“Exuberant repertory, daredevil intensity and considerable emotion
al candor.” – SF Examiner\n\nWorld-Class American Contemporary Dan
ce Company ODC/Dance Premieres in Hua Hin and Bangkok\n\nKnown through
out the world for its athleticism, passion and intellectual depth, San
Francisco-based contemporary dance troupe ODC/Dance will astonish Tha
iland during their performances at the Fringe Festival 2010 Hua Hin an
d at Patravadi Theatre Bangkok this February. All ticket proceeds will
be donated to the Patravadi High School Scholarship Fund.\n\nODC/Danc
e’s three resident choreographers—Brenda Way, KT Nelson, and Kimi
Okada—are considered among America's most prominent contemporary cho
reographers. They have created a dynamic movement vocabulary that has
greatly influenced dozens of dancers and choreographers. Throughout it
s 38 years of existence, ODC/Dance group has performed for more than a
million people in 32 U.S. states and 11 countries.\n\nDuring its Thai
land premiere, ODC/Dance group will feature three original works chore
ographed by Artistic Director Brenda Way and performed by the company
s ten world-class dancers. “Origins of Flight” is a commissioned
work by Evelyn Feintech in the memory of her husband. It takes the po
wer, joy and pathos of a long and generative relationship as its “ta
ke-off” and “landing” points. Co-commissioned by San Francisco
s Equal Justice Society, “Unintended Consequences: A Meditation”
shines a critical light on our inadvertent complicity in short-sighted
and often damaging political/commercial decisions. The third work,
24 Exposures” charts ODC/Dance’s 30 year artistic evolution: from
everyday movements, to contact improvisation, to virtuosic dancing, f
rom the elegance of form to the heat of personal relationships.\n\nโ
