 's Biography:Arnuparp Sukkaw was born in Bangkok, Thailand, developing
  a diverse portfolio of art in his studios both in the city and away o
 n his island home. His body of work draws inspiration from historical 
 masters in the form of portraiture painting, as well as from an intuit
 ive relationship with the natural environment. Having been drawn to th
 e artistic process in his school years, Sukkaw found a passion in both
  the study and process of painting. He developed his academic practice
  at Thaivichitsilp School of Art, coupling creative and professional p
 assions to pursue a career in advertising and television. His multimed
 ia talents are focalized as a stylist, costumer, props and set designe
 r for a wide array of programs. All of these skillsets ultimately retu
 rn to his first love of painting, finding expression in the emotive ex
 pressions in his portraits. While his career necessitates a level of s
 ocial notoriety and community involvement, Sukkaw routinely finds hims
 elf drawn back to his island home between the completion and start of 
 a new project. The natural environment as received through quiet refle
 ction gives the respite required to renew and create again. It is this
  relationship with the outside world, through sight, sound and touch, 
 which becomes palpable in the final, quiet presentation of his art.\n\
