 ย\nFor his third solo exhibition artist Wutigorn Kongka, a lecturer 
 at King Mongkut Institute of Technology Latkrabang (KMITL), presents h
 is latest series of statuesque acrylic canvases that are testament to 
 the continuing vitality of painting as a medium. In Naked, Wutigorn s
 trips bare the veil of the modern human condition into a fanciful comp
 osite construct of our primal physical and psychological preoccupation
 s. Now in his forties, a more contemplative and content artist unravel
 s the subconscious lucidity of dreams, discovering romantic notions to
  gender relationships, sexual chemistry, power and control. Drawing i
 nspiration from the physiology of human iconographic representations, 
 Wutigorn finds aesthetic commonality in ancient Greco-Roman statuary a
 nd antique Khmer sculpture, as well as more contemporary associations 
 to Damien Hirst’s anatomical giant, and Lucien Freud’s painterly f
